The McNeese Athletics field house project received a big boost in funding recently when the H.C. Drew Estate made the commitment to donate $500,000 to the academic center within the fieldhouse itself. This donation will go towards the construction and equipping of a state of the art academic enhancement center that will be housed within the new building. “This is what we needed.” said Director of Athletics Tommy McClelland. “We knew that the academic enhancement center would be a very worthy cause to someone, and that someone was the H.C. Drew Estate. They saw the vision of what we are trying to accomplish from an academic point of view. We are very grateful for their support.”
